Customers gain access to first direct route between S\u00e3o Paulo and New York City<\/strong><\/p>\n

Boston, MA \u2014 April 18, 2013 \u2014<\/strong> Seaborn Networks, the developer and operator of the first direct S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 US cable system (Seabras-1), today announced it is establishing its first Brazil gateway in Equinix\u2019s International Business ExchangeTM (IBX\u00ae) data center in S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil. Equinix\u2019s facility in S\u00e3o Paulo (SP2) provides data center services to customers in Latin America, and offers critical overseas connectivity to the financial and commercial center of the United States.<\/p>\n

Seaborn Networks\u2019 Brazil \u2013 US submarine cable is a four-fiber pair, 32 Tbps system that will offer the first direct route between S\u00e3o Paulo and New York City.<\/p>\n

Equinix\u2019s SP2 IBX data center is located in a key metropolitan area, offering a full range of interconnection and data center services to a wide range of financial, networks, enterprise, content, cloud and IT services companies.<\/p>\n

For customers in Equinix\u2019s SP2 data center, access to Seabras-1, the only direct route between S\u00e3o Paulo and the US, will be only a cross-connect away.<\/p>\n
